Jack W. Weaver, Partner

Jack Weaver litigates business, insurance, real estate, trust, employment and commercial disputes for individuals and companies ranging from sole proprietors to established corporations.

As an attorney with a deep understanding of business, Jack helps individuals and businesses navigate the trial system. Using a client centric approach he regularly helps his clients negotiate disputes and secure successful resolutions.

However, when mediation and negotiations break down or are unavailing, Jack knows how to take a well-prepared case to trial and verdict - a skill that is extremely valuable. Further, by representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Jack has experienced both sides of the legal issues he regularly encounters, a dual perspective that provides a proven strategic edge.

Jack is the rare breed of attorney that sets a trial date and means it. His tenacious way of preparing every case for trial is an excellent tool against other attorneys that view a trial date as simply a deadline for settlement.

While mediation and settlement are noble goals, Jack is a strong believer that it is not in a client’s best interest to plan to settle. Rather, he approaches each case as if he will need to present it to a jury. This approach allows him to maximize his clients’ recoveries and take the case to a successful resolution.

Jack is certified by the National Institute of Trial Advocates (NITA) and is a North Bay Business Journal 40 Under Forty award winner. Prior to passing the bar, he worked as a law clerk for the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a judicial extern for both the Honorable John Munter of the San Francisco Superior Court, Complex Civil Litigation Department and the Honorable Virginia Marcoida of the Sonoma County Superior Court. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Jack has also been awarded Sonoma Magazine Lawyers of Distinction (2021), Sonoma Magazine Lawyers of Excellence (2022) and Northern California Super Lawyer (2024).
