Supporting your recovery from start to finish.

When a fire or other disaster has upended your life, it can feel overwhelming just figuring out where to start. Weaver Currie exclusively represents policyholders, ensuring that your insurance company fully compensates you for all aspects of your covered losses. We will guide you through every step of the claim process, making sure you understand your insurance policy, what you may or may not be entitled to recover, and explain your options for maximizing your claim. We understand that the process can often be emotional and complex, and we can guide and support you from the outset of your claim through the conclusion, allowing you to make a full recovery.

Helping you get home.

You deserve to receive the full benefits of your insurance policy. In our experience, insurance companies have a vested interest in paying you the lowest amount possible for your claim. Our attorneys, along with dedicated public adjusters, will work tirelessly on your behalf in order to settle your claim for the maximum amount that you are entitled.

A personal connection.

When the 2017 Tubbs Fire devastated Santa Rosa neighborhoods, many of our family members and close friends lost their homes. We began receiving inquiries from many existing clients who had suffered losses in what was (at that time) the most destructive wildfire ever experienced in California. The attorneys joined forces with a licensed public adjuster, and began working together to effectively advocate for clients and hold insurance companies accountable. Since then, our team has represented hundreds of California property owners, including survivors of the Tubbs Fire, Camp Fire (Paradise), Kincade Fire, Walbridge Fire, Glass Fire, Palisades Fire, and Eaton Fire, as well as water damage and other non-wildfire related losses.

Public Adjuster Communication

You have more important things to do than argue with your insurance company’s adjuster. We’ll work collaboratively with them to develop a scope of repair that accurately reflects the amount of work needed to repair or rebuild your property.

Insurance Policy Review

With a unique combination of public adjusting and legal expertise, our insurance recovery team will review your policy and work alongside you to plan the best path forward. We’ll advise you of any requirements under the policy, as well as what you can expect in the months ahead.

Comprehensive Property Assessment

We can work with your contractor, or recommend other experts, to make sure the scope of repairs presented to your insurance company includes everything that’s covered by your policy. We’ll evaluate often-overlooked items such as code upgrades, design and engineering costs, asbestos and lead abatement, and anything else your policy includes.

Strategic Inventory and Presentation

Together, we’ll compiled a detailed inventory of your damaged or destroyed personal property, taking care to highlight any unique items. We’ll discuss the most advantageous way to present this portion of your claim to the insurance company, and whether items should be considered under your building or personal property coverage.

Loss of Use

We’ll help you determine and present any claims related to additional living expenses and/or fair rental value, loss of rental income, and business income and expenses, to ensure that you’re being reimbursed for all related out-of-pocket expenses.

Thorough, Ongoing Documentation

Throughout the claims process we’ll maintain an open dialogue with you and your insurance company, to make sure your claim is documented thoroughly and effectively, from the day you step into our office to the day you return to your business or home.

Reclaim the future you deserve.

Let’s get you what you deserve from your insurance claim and get you back to your life.
